Life365 was named as one of 10 finalists in Arizona Commerce Authority’s Fall 2017 Arizona Innovation Challenge competition. Finalists will pitch live to judges on Wednesday, December 13 and winners will be announced the week of December 18.
The Arizona Innovation Challenge (AIC) takes place twice a year, once in the spring and again in the Fall. The AIC competition offers the highest commercialization award in the country, with $1.5 million awarded to companies each spring and fall. Awards range from $100,000 to $250,000, which supplies much needed capital for early stage companies to grow their businesses in Arizona.
From the ten finalists, six will be selected to receive awards up to $250,000. The award is disbursed across a 12-month period and dependent upon the company meeting certain milestones.
115 applications were submitted for the fall 2017 challenge, from those, 25 were selected as semi-finalists. Semi-finalists completed a second round application where they were judged on their business plan, qualifications of their team, market potential etc. From the 25 semi-finalists, 10 were selected as finalists and announced Wednesday, December 6.
“We are extremely excited to be selected to the final round and grateful for the opportunity to present to the judges next week. The AIC challenge is super competitive, and we are honored to have been selected as semi-finalists and now a finalist,” said Kent Dicks, CEO and Founder of Life365. “Winning an award from the Arizona Commerce Authority would greatly help us expand our sales efforts. We on-boarded our first customer this spring, validated our platform, and we’re now ready to scale and grow.”
Life365’s connected health platform helps healthcare systems transition more care away from the expensive clinical environment to the home. Life365 provides tools to better connect care providers with their patients, to proactively address health conditions that can lead to more costly care utilization, like hospitalization.
Life365’s system collects patient vitals using connected health devices, and cellular solutions to send the data to a cloud-based platform for review, with optional API integration to send data to an electronic health record, analytic system, or other system the client uses.
